You’re always free to contact us through the contact form or facebook with any questions you might have, but we’ve made this little list of answers to questions we tend to get more often.
Can I join if I don’t have any acting experience?
Everyone is welcome to audition when we have a new production coming up! None of us are professional actors, but we just really enjoy doing it (and have built up a bit of experience over the years). Several of our actors had their stage debut with REST!

Do you offer acting classes?
No, unfortunately we don’t! There’s still a video ‘out there’ that seems to pop up now and then, promoting REST acting classes … but that’s an oldie. At this moment we only do productions, no classes.
Do you have to be a member to be allowed to audition?
Nope, anyone can audition (no fee!).
Do members pay a contribution?
Yes, a contribution is paid per production, but only when you are cast for a role in a production. This in part helps us finance set, props make-up, costumes , venues and so on.
Do you have your own theatre venue?
No, we don't. We rehearse at a top-secret location in Rotterdam city centre and choose our performance venues per production.
I am interested in more than a volunteer position. Do you have any vacancies?
No, unfortunately not. We are an amateur group, and though we're very proud of the productions we create, we only work with volunteers. From director, to actors, to set designer, backstage crew - no one gets paid (we are a society and run on contributions of the actors and for a small part on the turnover of the performances). This also means that we can't offer any internship positions.
